This 51st edition of the Translémanique Solo was a great race for Pierre on Luc Voile 1. He finished 29th on corrected time and a respectable 15th in the Surprise class after 26 hours and 27 minutes of racing in light conditions during the day and fairly rough conditions at night. He stayed with the leading pack throughout the regatta, and after a great night under jib heading west, the stretch across the small lake in the morning proved more challenging—particularly due to the lack of a large spinnaker in light winds (thanks to a lost halyard)—but perhaps also a bit of fatigue!
